Auto mogul Denny Hecker, serving a 10-year federal sentence for fraud, has been released to a halfway house in Minneapolis and could be in his own apartment by Thursday, reports the Star Tribune. Hecker’s original date for release from prison was July 2019. That was moved a year earlier. Federal officials wouldn’t say why, but noted most prisoners are eligible to be transferred to a halfway house up to 12 months before their formal release date.
