The DNR encourages Minnesotans to plan ahead for fall color watching…and you can do it online with the fall color finder.
The DNR’s Pat Arndt says “we have people from all around the state that report in once a week and the site is updated by Thursday every week just in time for your fall color weekend so you can pick out the absolute best spot to go.”
Arndt says it’s shaping up to be a brilliant year color-wise.
As a general rule, fall colors peak between mid-to-late September and early-to-mid October depending on which part of the state you’re in. For more information, you can look here.
