Many questions remain after newly-released documents on Prince’s death investigation. According to search warrants released Monday, the doctor who treated Prince the day before his death wrote out some prescriptions in the name of Prince’s bodyguard. Asked if that’s a common occurrence, Healthpartners Dr. Tom Kottke responds…
Kottke admits it can be difficult for medical professionals to not treat celebrities differently, but says “they shouldn’t be treated based on their celebrity status because their disease process is exactly the same. Being a celebrity doesn’t change how your body works.”
Investigators turned up other prescriptions in bottles labeled “Peter Bravestrong,” an alias believed to be used by Prince. The Minnesota music icon died one year ago this week at the age of 57 as a result of an accidental overdose of fentanyl. It’s still not clear where Prince got the drug.
