(Los Angeles, CA) — Freddie Freeman drove in a pair of runs with a two-out single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Dodgers to a 4-3 win over the Twins on Wednesday afternoon in L.A. Minnesota had a 3-2 lead after eight innings but squandered it in the ninth when Griffin Jax couldn’t hold the lead and suffered the loss. Chris Paddack got the start and gave up just four hits in six innings of work while striking out eight. But the one run he gave up was to Shohei Ohtani, who has homered in five straight games, and leads Major League Baseball with 37 home runs. The Twins are off on Thursday and start a three game series at home on Friday against Washington.
