Laura Schwendemann
The Douglas County Sheriff says it’s likely the remains found in a farmer’s field in Orange Township yesterday (MON) are those of 18-year-old Laura Schwendemann, a freshman at University of Minnesota Morris. Official identification of the remains is pending an autopsy from the Midwest Medical Examiner’s office. The sheriff says that there’s no reason to believe the public is in danger, and the focus now is on why and how Schwendemann died. No suspects in the death have been identified or arrested.
