President Trump has declared Saint Louis County a disaster area in response to a series of storms and flooding last October that pounded Duluth’s waterfront and trails, causing an estimated 18 million dollars in damage. The presidential declaration makes that area eligible for federal assistance for state and local governments and some nonprofits. Former Governor Mark Dayton made the request in November.
