Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves with a game-high 35 points on 14-of-21 shooting, including 6-of-10 from three, six rebounds and a game-high and season-high-tying four steals, marking his 11th 35+ point game of the season (54th career).
• Tonight also marked Edwards’ fourth game this season with 35+ points/5+ rebounds/2+ steals (18th career), tied for the second-most such games this season. His 18 such games are the most in franchise history and he became just the 15th player in NBA history to record 18 such games before turning 25 years old.
• Following tonight’s 35-point performance, Edwards is now averaging 29.7 points per game in 11 career games against the Wizards, his highest career scoring average against any opponent in the NBA. Additionally, Edwards’ 29.7 points per game average is the highest mark by any player in franchise history against a single opponent.

• Edwards scored 16 of his 35 points in the first quarter of tonight’s matchup, marking a season-high for first quarter points and the eighth time this season he has scored 15+ points in a quarter (80th career). Edwards has now recorded 39 10+ point quarters this season, tied for the third-highest mark in the NBA.
• Tonight marked Edwards’ 11th game this season he scored 30+ points and 5+ assists, nine of which have come on the road. His nine such road games are the most in the NBA this season.
• Edwards knocked down six threes in tonight’s contest, giving him 96 made threes on the season and 1,205 career made threes. He is the first player in NBA history to record 1,200+ made threes prior to his 25th birthday. Tonight also marked Edwards’ 11th game this season with 5+ made threes (83rd career), tied for the second-most such games in the NBA this season.
• Julius Randle ended the night with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting and four assists, marking his second consecutive and 22nd 20+ point game of the season (353rd career). Randle has now scored 20+ points in six consecutive games, his longest active streak against any Eastern Conference opponent.
• Rudy Gobert added 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting, a game-high 14 rebounds and a game-high four blocks, marking his second consecutive and 15th double-double of the season (491st carer) and his third such game this season with four or more blocks (103rd career); only Evan Mobley and Victor Wembanyama have recorded more such games in the NBA this season (each with four games).
• Since Gobert entered the league in the 2013 NBA Draft, only Anthony Davis (112) games has recoded more double-doubles with 4+ blocks.
• In grabbing 14 boards tonight, Gobert now has 399 total rebounds this season, passing Nikola Jokić for the most total rebounds in the NBA this season. The last Timberwolves player to lead the NBA in total rebounds for a single season was Kevin Love in the 2010-11 season. Gobert would be the third Timberwolves player to do so all-time, joining Love and Kevin Garnett.
Team Notes
• With tonight’s win, Minnesota completes their two-game sweep of Washington for the 2025-26 season. This is the fifth time in franchise history the Wolves have swept their season series against the Wizards and the second time doing so in the last three seasons.
• Following tonight’s 141-115 win, the Wolves have now won three straight games in our Nation’s Capital, tied for the longest road winning streak against the Wizards in franchise history (Jan. 2002 – Dec. 2003).
• The Wolves’ 141 points equal their third-highest point-total this season and the third time they have scored 140+ points this season, tied for the second-most such games in the NBA.
• With their win in Miami last night and their win in Washington tonight, the Wolves have swept their second consecutive and third back-to-back series of the season. Minnesota is now 8-2 in back-to-backs overall, 5-0 in the first game and 3-2 in the second game.
• Minnesota finished with a season-high three players shooting 60.0+% on 10 or more field goal attempts (Edwards: 66.7%, 14-of-21; Gobert: 80.0%, 8-of-10; Randle: 60.0%, 9-of-15). This marks the first time at least three Minnesota players have had such a shooting performance since Jan. 11, 2025 vs. Memphis.
• Minnesota shot 56.1% (55-of-98) from the floor, marking the second consecutive game they shot 50.0%+ from the field this season and the fourth time they have shot 55.0% or better. The Wolves moved to 4-0 in such games this season and 36-2 in such games during the Chris Finch era (Feb. 22, 2021).
• The Wolves finished tonight with a season-high 76 points in the paint tonight, marking the second time this season they recorded 70+ paint points and the seventh time doing so with Finch at the helm.
