An Elk River man is the winner of Wednesday’s 21.6-million-dollar Lotto America jackpot. State Lottery officials say Jeffery Love didn’t find out until this morning (Fri) on his way to work that the winning ticket was in the glove compartment of his car. Love says he called into work saying he’d be “a little late” — then called back and said he wouldn’t be in at all today. Love says his wife, Vickie, confirmed the winning numbers “eight or 10 times,” then she told her employer she needed the day off. The Lotto America jackpot has now been won three times since it began in November 2017 — and two of the winners have been from Minnesota.
