Emerald ash borer found in Sauk Centre, firewood quarantine imposed in Stearns County

Add Stearns in central Minnesota to the list of counties with emerald ash borer infestations. City workers in Sauk Centre noticed several trees with damage which was confirmed to be emerald ash borer, resulting in all of Stearns County being put under quarantine to limit movement of firewood and ash material out of the county. A total of 18 Minnesota counties are now under full or partial quarantine as authorities try to control the spread of the highly destructive tree pest.
