A court appearance this afternoon (Thurs) for several pipeline protesters arrested during a November 2nd sit-in at Enbridge’s offices in downtown Duluth. Jesse Peterson says it was self-defense, adding “I’m certainly convinced that myself and others were acting in defense of ourselves and our loved ones to protect them from the dangers of the fossil fuel industry.” Enbridge in a written statement said it recognizes people’s right to express their views legally and peacefully, but those conversations must be held in the appropriate forum.
