(Virginia, MN) — An Eveleth woman pleaded guilty today (Tues) to getting a hitman to kill her boyfriend in 2014 because she no longer wanted to be in the relationship. 21-year-old Janessa Peters was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Harley Jacka (JACK-uh), after telling authorities she came forward because she couldn’t live with herself anymore. Another defendant, 40-year-old Bartholamy (bar-THOLL-uh-may) Drift, pleaded guilty in September to second-degree murder and will be sentenced next week. Two others await trail: 43-year-old Anthony Isham (EYE-shum) of Duluth and 39-year-old John Isham of Virginia.
