Protests are planned throughout the week to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the shooting death of 24-year-old Jamar Clark.

The events are organized by the Twin Cities Coalition for Justice and began with a rally in Minneapolis Sunday. Today (MON), the group is asking citizens to call Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman and tell him they have not forgotten that police officers Dustin Scharwze and Mark Ringgenberg were not prosecuted for Clark’s death. And on Tuesday, the actual anniversary of Clark’s shooting, community members are being encouraged to gather at the north Minneapolis site where Clark was killed.

Other events are scheduled throughout the week and details can be found at a #JusticeThruJamar Facebook page.
