Several events in Minnesota this week mark the one-year anniversary of Prince’s death. A three-day celebration at Prince’s Paisley Park in Chanhassen runs Friday through Sunday and will feature live performances and appearances from musicians involved in some of the Minnesota music icon’s most successful projects, including the Time, the Revolution and the New Power Generation. There’s also going to be a memorial street party just outside of First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday evening. And starting today several Minneapolis landmarks–including the I-35W bridge, U-S Bank Stadium and Target Field will turn purple in honor of Prince, who died on April 21st last year of an accidental drug overdose. Prince was 57.
