Investigators say they’ll release evidence today–including dramatic squad dash-cam video–in the case of Officer Jeronimo Yanez and the shooting death of Philando Castile. Former U-S Attorney Thomas Heffelfinger says in the big picture, looking ahead he’s “really worried. I’ll be blunt, I’m worried that with as many people as there are in the state of Minnesota carrying concealed weapons, that we’re going to see more of these kinds of things.” Yanez was acquitted of all charges last week prompting four days and counting of protests in the Twin Cities. Heffelfinger calls the case a tragedy, but says even though there are people who don’t agree with the verdict, the jury did what it was supposed to do–take a difficult case and make a decision.
