After winning the Tony Award it’s almost impossible to get tickets to the smash Broadway hit “Hamilton,” the hip-hop-flavored biography of the first U-S treasury secretary — but an expert says Minnesota theatre-goers will likely have their chance before too long. Dan Barth, owner of Pioneer Place on Fifth Theatre in Saint Cloud says, “They’ll park it for about a year, a year-and-a-half typically on Broadway, and then the cast will change. And then out of that they’ll put together a couple — I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s four or five — different touring companies that’ll just hit the road with this.” Barth says “Hamilton” helped spark renewed interest in live theatre in cities across the country, including Minneapolis and Saint Cloud.
