The Star Tribune reports a settlement has been reached in a lawsuit by the family of a woman killed in a natural gas explosion last August at Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, but neither side is discussing the terms of that out-of-court settlement. The family of 47-year-old Ruth Berg alleged CenterPoint Energy contractors “ran to save themselves” instead of warning building occupants about the gas leak. The blast also killed 82-year-old John Carlson and injured nine others. A final report from a federal investigation is still pending.
