A pilot is dead after a plane crash in southwestern Minnesota this morning. Pipestone County Sheriff Keith Vreeman says a crop dusting plane crashed five miles west of Ruthton just after 8 a.m. Vreeman said the crash is under investigation, but it appears the plane clipped a wire near a tower used by a local power company and crashed into the field. The identity of the pilot is being withheld pending notification of family. Federal investigators will be on scene.
