Federal N-T-S-B investigators say they’re putting together their strategy but have not yet entered the devastated Minnehaha Academy building in south Minneapolis after an explosion Wednesday morning killed two staff members and injured nine. Spokesman Christopher Hart says, “The damage was extensive to the building and we will await determination from the proper authorities that is it safe, because will have to go inside the building in order to really make a determination what happened.”
Minneapolis fire officials say among many factors being investigated is whether workers had turned off the gas inside the building instead of at the street, and what role that might have played in the explosion.
