The federal government has ordered the Keystone pipeline to remain shut down until its Canadian owner corrects the cause of leak that spilled an estimated 383-thousand gallons of oil in northeastern North Dakota, about 50 miles from Grand Forks. The order comes a week after the leak was discovered near Edinburg, North Dakota. The company says about two-thirds of the spilled crude oil has been recovered.
