U-S Rep Rick Nolan (D-8th District)
Congressman Rick Nolan had some success last week in curbing illegal dumping of foreign-manufactured paper on U-S markets, but the battle to eliminate steel-dumping continues. Nolan says they have preliminary U-S International Trade Commission rulings on two types of steel, which he says will “put a curb on a lot of that dumping, but there’s still more that we can do.” He says he’s working to get more personnel so petitions can be expedited. Nolan says he’s also pushing for more people in the enforcement division so foreign countries can’t sneak around the rules.
