Authorities have released the name of a five-year-old girl who died in fire in Ham Lake early Sunday morning. The father of Jaidyn Andrus of Elk River, was able to rescue his daughter from her bedroom. She was transported to a local hospital where she died. Her father 36-year-old Scott Andrus remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say the fire appears to have started in Jaidyn’s bedroom, but the exact cause is under investigation. A GoFundMe site has been established to help the family with expenses.
