Residents of southern Minnesota continue to clean-up after last week’s heavy rainfall. One of the hardest hit communities was Waseca. City Manager Danny Lenz:
“We estimate that about 22-hundred households in the city of Waseca were impacted by the flood. Probably about 500 or plus were what we call significantly impacted. Where they had significant standing water, had to replace water heaters, furnaces that sort of thing.”
Lenz says over a 36-hour period around 14 inches of rain fell, causing flash flooding.
