Prosecutors in Florida are seeking the death penalty for a Minnesota woman charged with murdering a Fort Myers woman, reports the Star Tribune. Investigators allege 56-year-old Lois Riess killed her husband, David, in Blooming Prairie in March and forged checks on his business account — then went to Florida, met Pamela Hutchinson at a restaurant and killed her to steal her identity. Riess was arrested later at South Padre Island, Texas. She faces forgery charges in Dodge County, Minnesota but has not yet been formally charged in her husband’s death.
