It’s been an active flu season across Minnesota. As to how this year compares to last?
“We’ve seen more… more outbreaks and more hospitalizations than we did last year. Now 2014-2015 was a pretty severe year — so I don’t think we are going to quite see similar numbers to that.”
Karen Martin with the Minnesota Department of Health says so far this spring flu activity remains strong…
“We had what we thought was the peak of a season about mid-February and then activity started to go down but then started going up again as influenza B activity really picked up.”
New flu data comes out tomorrow for the latest reporting week.
