This year’s flu season is on track to be among the worst the U.S. has seen in 15 years. Here in Minnesota flu activity is still considered widespread. Over the last reporting week, there were 450 flu-related hospitalizations, 111 school outbreaks and 24 in the state’s nursing homes. There’s been one pediatric flu death reported since the start of the season. Health officials say this year’s flu season is putting tremendous stress on clinics and hospitals and remind you, it’s not too late to get your flu shot.
