It’s not too early to get that flu shot. You may have noticed your local clinic already offering the vaccine. Kris Ehresmann (AIRZ-man) with the state Health Department says anybody six months and older should get the shot. She doubly encourages higher risk groups to get vaccinated.
“Those people who are 65 and older. Children under age five. Pregnant women, people with chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes and heart disease and American Indian and Alaska Native.”
Ehresmann says it’s always a good idea to contact your clinic ahead of time to make sure they have the vaccine on hand.
