A former employee of Cargill admits she stole more than three-million dollars from the company, causing at least 25-million dollars in losses. 50-year old Diane Backis pleaded guilty to diverting funds into her own account over a ten year period while working as an accounting manager at a Cargill grain shipping facility in New York. Backis will pay restitution and could get up to 20 years in prison when sentenced in March.
