Three former Golden Gopher teammates from last year appeared in Saturday’s NFL preseason game in Minneapolis between the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans. MNN sports director Mike Grimm had a chance to catch up with Houston offensive tackle Aireontae Ersery, Texans wide receiver Daniel Jackson, and Vikings quarterback Max Brosmer.
Ersery, a second round pick in 2025, started the game for Houston at left tackle and played only the first series:
Jackson played in the fourth quarter and had one kickoff return for 12 yards. He was targeted on one pass, but it was overthrown:
Brosmer engineered a fourth-quarter scoring drive, converting on a fourth-down-and-goal to go situation, hitting Myles Price for a three-yard touchdown. Brosmer finished 5-for-8 for 47 yards. He was part of a postgame media session:
Former Gopher Blake Cashman did not play in the game.
