A jury in Dallas, Texas has awarded 600 thousand dollars to former Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek, injured in 2017 during an altercation with an ex-FBI agent who warns that Muslims are a danger in American society — reports the Star Tribune. Stanek alleged in his lawsuit that he offered to meet with John Guandolo during a sheriff’s conference in Reno, Nevada, and Guandolo later violently shoved him and punched him in the face, worsening neck injuries Stanek had suffered earlier. Guandolo called Stanek’s lawsuit “frivolous,” noting he was sheriff in Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s congressional district.
