(Washington, DC) — Former Vice President Walter Mondale is being honored in Washington, D-C today. Former President Jimmy Carter and Vice President Joe Biden are among those gathering to celebrate Mondale’s legacy. Governor Dayton will be there, too and says Mondale is a man of impeccable integrity and Minnesota is proud of him. The U of M’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs has been working on the recognition for Mondale for more than a year. The celebration includes panel discussions on some of Mondale’s favorite topics – social justice, national security, the U-S Constitution and civil rights.
