There will be no charges against the officers involved in the fatal shooting of Thurman “June” Blevins. Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman put the announcement out in a new release this morning after family members and activists interrupted a scheduled news conference. Freeman says the evidence shows that Blevins, who had a gun, posed an immediate threat to the officers’ and others’ safety and that Blevins was actively evading arrest when he was chased through an alley and killed on June 23rd.
