Glyndon in northwest Minnesota hosts the National Snocross snowmobile race this weekend with nearly 400 competitors, some from as far away as Norway and Sweden. Unusually warm temperatures made this year’s track preparation tough, according to spokesman Kevin Nathe, who says “making snow usually isn’t too much of a problem around here this time of year, but this year there’s been challenges after challenges.” Colder weather allowed snow-making machines to go to work, and Nathe says the track is looking good and races are on.
