Gopher Athletics and Joyer Adventure Farm have teamed up this year to bring you one of the most unique and entertaining corn mazes in the state. The family-friendly Joyer Adventure Farm will feature Minnesota’s iconic Running Goldy logo as a corn maze this fall, which is sure to provide endless entertainment for Gopher fans, corn-maze enthusiasts and visitors to the farm.
Joyer Adventure Farm is in Lino Lakes, Minn., and the Running Goldy corn maze will be featured from September 21 through October 31. The labyrinth has two phases, which includes a kid-friendly option that can get you in and out of the maze in about 10-15 minutes. Doing both phases can result in an hour in the maze, depending on how lost you get.
The farm also provides additional fun for all ages and features a hay wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, grandpa’s grain train ride, slides, outdoor games, acres of play, and a barnyard with farm animals. There is something for everyone to enjoy, and visitors can purchase discounted tickets online at Joyer Adventure Farm’s website. Tickets are also available on-site and the farm accepts cash, check, credit card and debit card. Hours of operation are online.
The University of Minnesota also has a special meaning to the Joyer family, as numerous members of the family – spanning multiple generations – attended the U. The Joyer family has operated the farm as the third and fourth generation since the early 1980s. Mary Joyer is the third-generation farmer and owner, as her grandparents bought the farm more than 100 years ago. Andrew Joyer, fourth-generation farmer, graduated in 2005 with a Horticulture degree from the U and is currently a manager on the farm. He comments about the maze design, “As farmers we aren’t usually thrilled to have gophers in our fields, but as a U of M alumni, this is one Gopher in the corn field that I am excited about.”
Joyer Adventure Farm is conveniently located at 8174 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, MN 55014.
