Good reviews from pretty much all quarters in Minnesota on the U-S/Mexico/Canada trade agreement that President Trump signs this morning (10am CT) at the White House. Former long-time state Agriculture Commissioner Dave Frederickson calls the deal “great” and compliments the administration. “We certainly want to make sure that our trade relationships with Mexico and Canada are two really strong trade partners, particularly with us in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest,” he says.
The agreement has received good reviews from the business community as well. Minnesota Chamber of Commerce President Doug Loon says the USMCA brings reassurance and certainty to businesses that have had long-standing and important relationships with Canada and Mexico.
