Tuesday’s flurry of last-minute filings by Democratic candidates, sparked by last weekend’s discord at the state convention in Rochester, has also re-shuffled the field in some Minnesota House races — which Republicans hope to capitalize on. Speaker Kurt Daudt says, It’s been very interesting to watch all of these dominos and things falling,… but still excited about our opportunities in November and we’re gonna keep talking about the issues that people care about.”
Republicans are working to retain control of the Minnesota House in the fall elections, while Democrats hope to regain a majority. Daudt says, “We’re excited to face any of them, because we believe that we have better ideas and better solutions to the problems that Minnesotans care about — and that’s what we’re gonna talk about all summer long.”
