Some lawmakers accuse the Walz administration of not getting input from school districts before issuing today’s (Fri) strong advisory against traditional graduation ceremonies this spring. One legislator called it “one size hurts all,” prompting the governor to respond this afternoon, “I’m pretty sensitive to criticisms around this because it’s my life and where I’m at, and we are trying our best to make sure that we are striking that proper balance between public health and these important social milestones.”
Republican Representative Ron Kresha (KREE-shaw) from Little Falls responds, “A school district knows how to do safe distancing. My goodness, these schools have been through active shooter drills. They know the safety of their kids.”
