Governor Mark Dayton and Republican leaders have agreed on a $4.9-million increase in funding for agriculture programs in Minnesota, the first handshake on a budget bill as negotiations go into high gear at the State Capitol. House Speaker Kurt Daudt says, “They can work out the differences pretty easily I think in that bill.” The agriculture funding bill is usually one of the easiest for lawmakers to agree on.
