(St. Paul, MN) — Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz has a campaign rally in Saint Paul tonight (6pm), second stop on his fly-around to states holding caucuses or primaries on Super Tuesday in March. Minnesota DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin says Cruz is using the “outdated GOP political playbook that values division over unity.” State GOP Chairman Keith Downey responds he can’t think of a better day for a Republican presidential candidate to visit Saint Paul than after the city council considered a resolution restricting political speech in their city. The council voted Wednesday to condemn Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s “anti-Muslim, anti-refugee and anti-immigrant speech,” but took out language in the resolution that said Trump is not welcome in Saint Paul.
