(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota baseball team opens its season on Friday at Florida Atlantic. It starts an eight-game slate of games in the state of Florida. John Anderson enters his 41st season as Golden Gopher head coach and says he expects an improved pitching staff for the 2022 season. Minnesota was just 6-31 last season. After the eight games in Florida, the Gophers return to play nine straight games at U-S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis from March 1st through March 13th.
