(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota football team is now less than two months away from opening the season. The Golden Gophers are working out on campus this summer, and senior wide receiver Javon (juh-VON) Tracy of Indianapolis says this is a key time of year for team and personal growth. He says he is working on using his strength to get open to catch passes better this summer. Tracy caught 37 passes for 354 yards and six touchdowns last season for Minnesota. The Gophers finished 8-5 last season, including a bowl game victory over New Mexico in Phoenix. Minnesota opens the regular season at home against Eastern Illinois on Thursday, September 3rd.
