The Big Ten conference and its television partners announced today the start times for six University of Minnesota football games in the upcoming 2025 season.

The games announced included Minnesota’s nonconference contests against Buffalo, Northwestern State and at California and its Homecoming game against Purdue. The conference also announced that Minnesota will play two Friday night games this season, as it will host Nebraska on Friday, Oct. 17 and will play at Oregon on Friday, Nov. 14.

Minnesota will kick off the season when it hosts Buffalo at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28 on FS1.

The Gophers will play Northwestern State at home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6 and play at California at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. The Northwestern State game will be on Big Ten Network, while the California game will be on ESPN.

Minnesota will welcome Purdue to Huntington Bank Stadium for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 11. That game will start at either 6 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. and the television broadcast partner will be announced later.

The Gophers will then host Nebraska at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 on FOX.

Minnesota travels to Oregon for an 8 p.m. game on Friday, Nov. 14 on FOX.

Game times for Minnesota’s six remaining games in the 2025 season will be announced in the future.
