(Minneapolis, MN) — The Golden Gopher football team is a day closer to hosting Rutgers in a Big Ten football game. Minnesota will have a morning workout today, a fast practice tomorrow and then the game against the Scarlet Knights on Saturday. Both teams are 4-3 overall and 1-3 in the Big Ten. The Gophers have dropped three straight decisions, including last Saturday’s 45-17 loss at number-13 Penn State. Rutgers snapped a three-game skid of their own with a 24-17 victory over Indiana last Saturday. Gopher defensive tackle Logan Richter of Perham says they are re-focusing their attention to details on defense and that should help them snap out of the streak. Saturday’s game kicks off at 1:30 P-M at Huntington Bank Stadium.
