The Big Ten announced its all-conference teams today and the University of Minnesota football team was well represented on offense, defense and special teams.

Leading the way was Aireontae Ersery, who was named to the First Team by both the coaches and the media. He was also named the Big Ten Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year. He is the first Gopher to receive that honor since Greg Eslinger in 2005 and is the fifth Gopher to receive an “Of the Year” award under head coach P.J. Fleck.

On defense, linebacker Cody Lindenberg and defensive back Koi Perich (first Gopher freshman to be named All-Big Ten First Team since running back Darrell Thompson in 1986) were named to the First Team by the coaches. Perich was also a First Team selection by the media, while Lindenberg was a Second Team honoree. Justin Walley was named to the Second Team by the coaches.

Special teams saw Perich honored once again, as he was named Second Team by the media as a return specialist.
