Gopher Hoops In Action Thursday

January 29, 2020 By Minnesota News Network

(undated) — The University of Minnesota basketball teams will be busy tonight with action both on and off campus.  The Gopher men are in Champagne, Ill tonight to square off with the 19th-ranked Fighting Illini. Minnesota has traded wins and losses over its last five games following Sunday’s setback at Michigan State. The Gophers sit at 11-and-9 on the season and 5-and-5 in Big Ten play. The Illini are 15-and-5 and 7-and-2. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 P-M.

The Gopher men will be at Illinois tonight while the women will host Nebraska at Williams Arena.

Meanwhile, the Gopher women will have the Huskers at Williams Arena tonight as they look to stop a two game slide. The Gophers fell in Bloomington 65-52 to Indiana on Monday. In all they’ve dropped seven of their last eight. The Huskers took the first meeting on January 4th in Lincoln by a 72-58 margin. Tip tonight is at 7 P-M.
