The University of Minnesota men’s basketball team announces its 2024-25 nonconference schedule, highlighting nine home games and 11 total in the first half of the season. Times and broadcast information will be available in the future as well as exhibition and Big Ten Conference schedule.
Minnesota opens the regular season with a home game against Oral Roberts and follows with Omaha on Nov. 9.
Minnesota welcomes three teams within a six-day stretch, all of which competed in postseason play last season. North Texas comes to Minnesota on Nov. 13, followed by Yale on Nov. 16 and Cleveland State on Nov. 19. The Mean Green competed in the NIT, while Yale competed in its fourth NCAA Tournament in the past eight years and advanced to the Second Round. Cleveland State also advanced to the Third Round of the CBI.
Minnesota hosts Central Michigan on Monday, Nov. 25, before traveling to Orlando, Fla., as a part of the ESPN Events Invitational with Florida, Wake Forest, and Wichita State, Nov. 28-29.
Minnesota will host Bethune-Cookman on Dec. 1 for the second straight year. Two Big Ten games are scheduled for the beginning of December. Information will follow at a later date.
After the two-game Big Ten contests, Minnesota concludes the nonconference schedule for the rest of December. On Dec. 21, it will host Fairleigh Dickinson (FDU) and close out the nonconference portion on Dec. 29, when it hosts Morgan State.
