November 20, 2017 By Minnesota News Network

(Minneapolis, MN)  —  The 14th-ranked Golden Gopher men’s basketball team overcame a sluggish first half and beat Western Carolina at Williams Arena yesterday, 92-64.  Minnesota outscored the visiting Catamounts 50-31 in the second half.  Junior forward Jordan Murphy once again paced Minnesota by scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.  He has double-doubles in each of the first four games this season.  Five Gophers scored in double digits, including Amir Coffey with 15, Dupree McBrayer with 14, Nate Mason with 13, and Isiah Washington with ten.  Minnesota is 4-0 on the season and will host Alabama A&M tomorrow night at The Barn at 7 P-M.
