Gopher Men Shocked by ‘Cats

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Northwestern Wildcats stopped a 13-game losing streak as they handed the Gophers a 67-59 loss on Thursday night at Williams Arena. Boo Buie led all scorers with 25 points as he helped the Wildcats stun the Gophers on their home court. The Gophers got 21 points from Marcus Carr but the team, as a whole, hit just 4-of-27 three points shots. The loss drops the Gophers to 13-and-11 on the season as the suffer their fourth consecutive loss and now see their postseason hopes hanging by a thread. The Gophers are at Nebraska on Saturday.
