(Los Angeles, CA) — The Gopher men’s basketball team got 32 points from Dawson Garcia to help edge U-C-L-A 64-61 on Tuesday night in L.A. Minnesota was down 61-60 with :44 seconds to play but Lu’cye Patterson’s driving lay up with :08 seconds left on the clock gave the Gophers the lead. Garcia finished with two more free throws to seal the win. This, coupled with Saturday’s win at U-S-C, gives the Gophers a two game California sweep. Minnesota improves to 14-12 on the season and will now prepare to host Penn State on Saturday at 1 P-M from Williams Arena.
