(State College, PA) — The University of Minnesota men’s basketball used a strong second half to rally past Penn State on the road Tuesday night. The Gophers trailed 25-21 at the half but out scored the Nittany Lions 48-36 out of halftime to pull in the victory. Dawson Garcia had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead Minnesota. The Gophers also got 14 points from both Lu’cye Patterson and Brennan Rigsby. Minnesota now sits just over .500 on the season at 12-11 and they’re now 4-8 in the Big Ten. It was just their second road win of the season. Saturday they return home to host Illinois with a 5 P-M tip from Williams Arena.
