(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota men’s hockey team had an intense month of June with summer workouts and is now gearing back up to begin preseason drills next month. New head coach Brett Larson is hoping to get the Golden Gophers back onto the national stage after a drop-off a year ago. Star player Brodie Ziemer (ZEEM-er) says the June workouts were huge in allowing everyone to adjust to the new coaching staff, which he says is great. Ziemer is Minnesota’s top returning player. The Gophers open the season in October.
